Autumn in Leiden - September '22

On the 23th of September, autumn started in the Netherlands.
I decided to celebrate this start of a new season by leaving some things behind and make a fresh new start. I did that with visiting the old building of the Academy which had now developed into a exhibition space for artist. It was no surprise, since the space that was rented before also was in this building, with lots of other artist also being active there.
They call this event the 'Kunstroute'. I don't know how they call it in English, but does it really mather? It's about looking at art and occasionally buying some.
I found this day to be a perfect day to get rid of that old, since i have artworks in my childrens room of a certain artist and one fell of the wall, just a few days ago. So i introduced my daughter to the one person that actually made the paintings in her room and she liked that.
I also looked for some new work of that same artist and am actually considering buying some.
Sometimes i find it really hard to choose the exhibitions i'm going to visit on a 'Kunstroute' because there is just so much great work to see and sometime a little... well... less great. But never the less it is worth the time to discover new things where you didn't expect them.
Even though it was cold and a bit windy weather, i felt really warm on the inside. There i was, in Leiden again. Enjoying all the great things this city has to offer and of course all the art it holds!
A great start of the fall!
